Educator|Clinician

In addition to my many years of performing with such orchestras as the Oslo Philharmonic, Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra, Illinois Philharmonic and Elmhurst Symphony Orchestraa (just to name a few), I have had the honor and privilege of serving as a music educator at the following institutions:

  • University of Evansville- Evansville, IN 1980 – 1983 – Adjunct Instructor of Percussion
  • Evansville-Vanderburgh School System – 1981 -82 – Artist-In-Residence – Plaza Park and Culver Elementary Schools
  • Oslo City School System – Oslo, NOWAY – 1984 -1997- Manglerud High School – Instructor of Applied Percussion – Percussion Ensemble
  • Norwegian Youth Symphony Orchestra – Elverum, Norway – 1984 – 1985 – Timpani and Percussion Coach
  • Norwegian State Music Academy – Oslo, Norway – 1988 – Guest Lecturer – Timpani
  • Joliet Junior College – Joliet IL – 2005 -2010 – Adjunct Instructor, Percussion

I have enjoyed my work in each of the above-mentioned positions, and particularly enjoyed working with the students and imparting to them what I have learned from those who taught me. Being an educator is the best way of passing the torch to the newest generation of musicians and I certainly had the opportunity to do just that.
